How it Works

Our Apartments

Four apartments are available for artists in residence. Two of the apartments have 2 bedrooms.  Two of the apartments have 3 bedrooms. Apartments may be occupied by more than one artist at any time, which will be discussed in advance of the commitment.

Each apartment includes two or three private bedrooms, each with two twins or a double bed, plus a shared kitchen, bathroom, and common space. Two of the apartments requires climbing a flight of stairs.

Each artist in residence may stay at an apartment for no cost as part of the program, except for a one-time $100 cleaning fee.

Application Process

Applications are completed online with rolling admissions. Please be prepared to share digital images of your work—either as electronic files, your website, or social media.

The next step will be a phone or Zoom interview with the MAC HOUSE co-founders. Following acceptance, we will work with you to schedule time to participate in the residency.

We recognize some people will require support to apply or need accommodations to facilitate a complete application and are open to engaging with people in whatever way allows them to tell their story.

Financial Support

As of now, no financial support is available to offer travel, meal, or production material stipends. The opportunity is focused on giving artists living and workspace—at no cost—in which to create new work and incubate new ideas.
